UKG Program (4.5–5.5 Years) at House of Happiness: Preparing Children for Primary School
The UKG Program (4.5–5.5 years) at House of Happiness Preschool is thoughtfully designed to prepare children for the transition to primary school. At this stage, children become more independent, curious, and capable of understanding structured learning. Our UKG curriculum supports academic readiness while nurturing confidence and responsibility.
Structured academics form the core of the UKG program. Children develop strong literacy skills including reading readiness, phonics, sentence formation, and basic writing. Numeracy concepts such as addition, subtraction readiness, number patterns, and logical sequencing are introduced through engaging and practical activities.
Logical thinking is encouraged through puzzles, problem-solving games, and classroom discussions. Children learn how to think independently, ask questions, and arrive at solutions confidently.
Leadership and independence are key focuses of the UKG program. Children are given small responsibilities that help build self-discipline, decision-making skills, and self-confidence. Teachers guide children gently, allowing them to grow independently in a supportive environment.
By the end of the UKG year, children are academically prepared, emotionally strong, and excited about beginning their primary school journey.
